The concrete imprinted paving (called even stamped
concrete) is an outdoor floor that maintains concrete’s quality of
practicality, transforming it in a noble surface, re-creating the beauty
of natural stone.
To this has to be added the cheapness (stamped concrete price is very
competitive in comparison to natural stone price), the practicality
(stamped concrete is monolithic and is not subjected to bottomlands or
settlements), the strength (concrete is treated with special materials
that redouble normal resistance to use and to abrasions), time of rest
unbelievable fast, the possibility of personalization (stamped concrete
paving can be reproduced in different colours using different decorations
as, for example, the filling of grouts, decorative roses).
Concrete paving are suitable for streets, squares, cycle track, sidewalk,
pedestrian areas, shopping centres, hotels, camping and entertainment
centres (that usually require great maintenance). It has the great
advantage to avoid weed among stones.

ART CRETE - COLOR HARDNER Technical Data Sheet |
|
An intergrind of pure, lime proof, ultraviolet and
weather resistant color pigments, cement, graded, hard, non-reactive
aggregates and surface conditioning agents which improve the properties of
the finished concrete surface. Art Crete® Color hardener is ready
to use.It is applied as a dry shake over freshly, leveled and floated
concrete in medium to heavy duty industrial, commercial and residential
areas.
APPLICATION/COVERAGE
The sixty pound containers of ARTCRETE Color Hardener should be broadcast
at a rate of sixty pounds per one hundred square feet. Light colors and
heavy duty service areas usually require ninety puonds per one hundred
square feet. Be sure to broadcast the Art Crete Color Hardener evenly
over the entire surface.
Troweling: "Bull Float" in the Color Hardener. Do not broadcast the
haardener over "Puddling" water areas.
The drying time prior to broadcasting on the color hardener is based on
the humidity and temperature. If there are some low areas where puddling
is still, broadcast some of the color hardener over these areas to help
them dry. The proper drying process is from the bottom up. Do not force
dry the top surface with heat. Excessive troweling may cause color to
darken. Two application contains 75% of the color to be applied. Normal
concrete finishing practices should be used to seat the color. The second
application of of the remaining 25% will complete the coloring process.
ADVANTAGES
Art Crete® Color Hardener gives the surface excellent wear
resistance and superior concrete stamping characteristics. Color Hardener
builds in color and durability and eliminates the cost of periodically
painting the surface. The surface is more durable, resistant to
weathering, freezing, thawing and scaling from de-icing salts.
USES
Art Crete® Color Hardener can be used:
-
Indoors and outdoors
-
For coloring and hardening concrete floors
-
In areas where attractive, more uniform color is
desired to anhance the appareance of the floor or flatwork
-
Shopping centers, garages, parking loats, sidewalks,
driveways, patios, pool decks, etc.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTION
Apllying water on the top of the drying colored concrete can use ccolor
change variations. Color Hardener is not reccomended where extremely
heavy-duty use such as steel wheel traffic is anticipated.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Avoid contact with eyes and prolonged contact with skin. Contains Portland
Cement. In the event of contact with eyes, flush with water immediately,
Call physician immediately. For the skin flush the exposed area
thoroughly. KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN.

ART CRETE RELEASE POWDER - Technical Data Sheet |
|
A clear or pigmented water repellent powder maaterial
thet forms a moisture barrier between the stamping tools and wet concrete,
facilitating the realise of the mats. It is a dry shake material apllied
directly on top of the color hardner prior to stamping.
APPLICATION/COVERAGE
Realese agent is to be applied only after all troweling has been completed
and after all water has left the surface. The desired spread rate of the
release powder is thirty pounds per one thousand square feet. The use of a
dust musk is required to prevent inhalation. Before broadcasting the
rlease, empty half of the contents of a pail into a clean, dry container
and earate material to loosen any compacting before spreading onto the
surface. To determine the time to apply release: using your first, roll
your knuckle on the surface of the colored concrete. When none of the
colored concrete comes off on your fist, broadcast the realese poweder
evenly over the concrete surface where you are going to place the next few
mats. In order to insure even coloring, try to use the same amount of
realese poweder over the complete installation. Allow the realese powder
to dry on the textured designed surface for three to four days.
FINISHING
After three to four days, remove the realese powder with a pressure washer
with approximately two thousand five hundred p.s.i. Starting with lower
pressure, remove the excess realese color without washing off completely.
Washing off the grouts lines and deeper indentations with a quickeraction
than the highlights will allow the darker color realese to remain and
increase your acntiquing effect. Art Crete® Clear Concrete Sealer
must be applied after pressure washing when the concrete is thorouhly
dried.
ADVANTAGES
Clear realese may be used to accomplish a uniform color. Pigmented Realese
Agent give a rich looking antique effect. There are various combinations
of colors that will give a the two-tone effect by accenting the
highlights. A darker apllied color on top of the color hardener recesses
into the grout lines and deepens the textures.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
wear a dust mask. May cause eye and skin irritation. Avoid contact with
eyes and prolonged contact with skin. In the event of contact with eyes,
flush immediately and obtain medical attention. Flush exposed skin area
thoroughly.
KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN.
